At the Los Angeles office of Beverly Hills Dentist Dr. Arthur Glosman, we know your lifestyle demands the best in dental care. We offer state of the art services to help you attain a picture perfect smile in the comfort of our spa-like clinic. Our highly-trained doctor and skilled staff recognize, however, that your gorgeous smile must be maintained in order to last a lifetime! So, lets review the basics of dental hygiene:
Regularly scheduled cleanings and exams. This is a crucial element if you plan to keep your smile beautiful throughout your lifetime! Our kind, gentle hygiene staff will expertly clean your teeth while educating you on the best home care techniques suited to your particular dental needs. Beverly Hills Dentist Dr. Glosman will comprehensively screen your mouth for decay, periodontal disease, and oral cancers.
Brush your teeth, gums, and tongue at least twice daily. Although this sounds simple enough, we find that many new patients come to our office without a clear grasp of proper brushing techniques, or unsure of what type of toothpaste and toothbrush to use. Proper brushing performed at least twice per day is imperative in removing decay and odor causing plaque bacteria.
Floss every day. As with brushing, technique is everything! When done properly, flossing effectively removes harmful plaque between teeth where toothbrush bristles cannot reach. This helps prevent periodontal (gum) disease, and preserve bone height around teeth.
Eat a healthy diet. Food and drinks that are acidic or high in sugar content can be damaging to tooth enamel.
Avoid harmful dental habits. Smoking, chewing tobacco, using your teeth as tools, chewing ice, piercings of the tongue and lips can be harmful to your teeth, gums and mouth tissues.
Thank you for looking to the office of Beverly Hills Dentist Dr. Glosman to have your dental questions answered!
